Fruit Cocktail Smoothie

For smoothie lovers this recipe has been tried countless time to perfect the taste. I am not sure about other but I like my smoothie to be sweet and does not dehydrates me. For some reason every time I have a smoothie I get dehydrated after half an hour. But this fruit cocktail smoothie recipe is lovely and refreshing, probably due to the mixture of great ingredients and is best to have before / after a good workout or on a hot summer day. I recommend it is a great substitute for any other drink which you might otherwise have as your healthy lunch drink. This fruit cocktail smoothie recipe is also great to have with your breakfast, another way to boost your metabolism and health or probable another excuse to have a great drink.  Although the taste might be a bit bitter but that can be fixed with addition of honey and or other non-fat sweetener’s.

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces canned fruit  cocktail,  chilled
  • 1 cup  milk
  • 1/4 cups nonfat  dry milk powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons  vanilla
  • 1/2 cups ice cubes
  • 2 dashes ground cinnamon
Directions:
  1. In  a blender container  combine  undrained  fruit  cocktail and  remaining ingredients.
  2. Cover,  blend till combined.
  3. Add ice cubes,  cover and  blend till smooth.
  4. Sprinkle  with additional cinnamon (for  garnish)  if  desired.
  5. Serve immediately.

Enjoy!

NB: Fresh fruits can be used if you don`t prefer canned ones.
