I have had my eye on the Pur Cosmetics Love Your Selfie 2 palette for a few weeks now. I would swatch every single time I went into Ulta. Luckily, my mom got it for my birthday and I tried it out today. The palette comes with 8 eyeshadows, their Fully Charged Mascara, lip gloss in Silhouette, matte lip pencil in focal point, Overexposed Baking Powder, Photogenic Blush, and Composition bronzer. To see how I got this look, just keep reading.
To prime my eyes, I used Milani's Eyeshadow primer and I set it with a little bit of Kat Von D's Lock It Setting Powder.
I used Headshot (matte vanilla) as my all over base. Using Statuesque (matte tan) and a fluffy crease brush, I lightly defined the crease. Once I used up most of the product on the brush, I went onto the lid, but left the center blank. I applied Megapixel (metallic golden bronze) onto the lid using a flat shadow brush. Taking a more dense crease brush, I blended a little bit of Panorama (metallic bronze) into the crease for even more definition. I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Midnight to line my eyes. This stuff makes the BEST liquid liner. It is easy to work with and it lasts all day long with no transferring or fading.
To define my brows, I used my holy grail brow product, Essence Make Me Brow. To shape them, I used Maybelline's new Brow Precise Perfecting Highlighter. I apply around my brows and use a concealer brush or small precision sponge to blend it out.
To prime my face, I used Makeup Forever's Step 1 Equalizer. Since I am pretty oily, I used the mattifying one. I use this only on my t-zone and I use light patting motions to apply it. Afterwards, I used the new L'Oreal Total Coverage Foundation and Kat Von D's Lock It Concealer. I used some of the new Moda sponges to apply them with.
To set my concealer, I used the Overexpose baking powder from the Pur Cosmetics Love Your Selfie 2 Palette. For the rest of my face, I used Wet n Wild's new Photo Focus Setting Powder. To contour, I used the Composition bronzer, which worked surprisingly well. I also used a little bit of the Photogenic blush. To highlight my cheekbones, I lightly applied the green shade from Kat Von D's Alchemist Palette, which you can't even see in the pictures. It is pretty; trust me on this.
I went back with Panorama and applied it along the lower lash line using a pencil brush. To finish off the eyes, I applied two coats of Pur's Fully Charged Mascara. And on my lips, I used both lip colors from the Love Your Selfie 2 palette.
Not only do I love this look, I already love the palette. Everything is easy to use and the quality is amazing. The eyeshadows are pigmented and easy to blend. So are the face powders. The mascara is great and it isn't clumpy. I'll do a full review once I have tried it a few more times.
I hope you liked this look! I have a few great posts planned for next week. If you live in the south east, please stay safe and keep an eye on the weather.
See you soon!
