Fitness Friday: Working out Together

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

It has been a crazy busy week and the next few are going to be even crazier. We are supposed to be closing on our house on Monday (please cross your fingers and toes for us, it has been so back and forth with this darn financial company) and have been busy packing and just trying to get ready to move. Even with all that is going on Scott and I are still making a point to get our workouts in. Fitness is a big part of who I am!

This weeks workouts:

Sunday: Off Day

Monday: 45 minute walk with the dogs

Tuesday: Yoga Sculpt

Wednesday: C2 and Bike Ride in the evening with Scott

Thursday: Yoga Sculpt

Friday: Off

Saturday: I am planning on going to Grit and possibly cycling

We walk the dogs twice a day but try to make sure they get a nice long walk a few times a week, it’s time for Scott and I to spend together and it gets some of Tanner and Clifford’s crazy amount of energy out. And now that I actually own a bike (best Christmas gift!) we can spend time each week enjoying nice weather and getting a good workout in.

Tips to Workout with your Family:

  • Make it fun! Biking, playing outside or even making something a friendly competition.
  • Try new activities. I haven’t biked in 10+ years but now that we both have bikes it is a great way for Scott and I to spend time together doing something we both enjoy.
  • Take turn doing things that your significant other likes. Scott really like golf and biking while I love yoga and weightlifting. One day we will do an activity Scott likes and another day do yoga or weightlifting.
