Happy Friday! This past week was a heavy heart kind of week. Scott’s Grandfather passed away on Monday morning. He was 93 and had been so lonely after Margot passed away past September. When you are married for almost 70 years it is hard to imagine being alone. He had problems breathing and his kidney’s began to fail, they moved him to a hospice about 2 weeks ago and he passed away in his sleep early Monday morning. We all had the chance to say our goodbye’s last Friday night and see him one more time on Saturday. He was awake, having conversations with all of us and you could feel the love in the room. Del was a veteran, devoted volunteer and an amazing father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed!
The funeral today was incredibly special, a big group of the grandkids sang (I was included in this) and there were so many misty eyes in the church after. Scott and his grandpa were incredibly close and I know he will miss him incredibly. Keep them all in your thoughts the next few days.
With all the focus on Del this past week my workouts were a bit sporadic. But I am thankful for peace that working brings me.
Sunday: My birthday was the past Sunday and we got up and did a really hardcore Insanity Max. I can’t say enough good things about this program. I also incorporated moves from the Lorna Jane Challenge.
Monday: Off
Tuesday: Off
Wednesday: Cardio and Weights (Leg Day and Lorna Jane moves)
Thursday: Yoga Sculpt
Friday: We did an Insanity Max workout this morning before heading up to the funeral
We were on the go a ton this week and I was really thankful for Premier Protein shakes and bars, they were kind enough to send a big box of samples. It was so nice to grab something quick to ensure I was getting enough protein. The dark chocolate mint protein bar is amazing. Such a great treat. If you looking for a quick and easy option I highly recommend them.
