Fitness Friday Keeping Workouts Flexible

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

The theme of my workouts this week was being flexible. Scott has been out of town all week on a snowmobiling trip so it has been just me, the dogs and Henry the pig. Which means I can’t hit up the gym or yoga before work. The animals well being comes first and having them be alone for 12+ hours is not ok! So I was doing my workouts in the comfort of my family room.

I get the gas fireplace going to warm the room up, pop in a DVD or use the Roku to get on YouTube and get my workout in. A lot people think they can’t get as good of a workout in at home. Wrong! My workouts during the week kicked my booty.

Sunday: Cardio and Weights at the gym

Monday: Off

Tuesday: Off

Wednesday: Insanity Max and PiYo Full Body with slides

Thursday: Fitness Blender HIIT and a Kettlebell workout

Friday: Insanity Max and PiYo Legs with slides is the plan tongiht

Saturday: Heading to an early yoga sculpt class

Here is what I have for equipment at home:

Fitness Ball

Yoga Mat

Yoga Block

Jump Rope

Weights: 3, 5, 10 & 20 pounds

Kettlebells: 10 and 15lb

DVD’s: Insanity Max, PiYo, Body Beast, a few different kinds of bootcamp style, yoga and so many more!

TV with Roku hooked up. There are so many free workouts on YouTube. My favorites are Fitness Blender, BeFit, Blogilates

Another option soon will be Beachbody OnDemand where you can use a laptop or tablet to do workouts. This will be coming soon and I can’t wait! More options for when I need to do workouts at home.
