Fitness Friday Home Workouts and Phenoh 7.4

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

The week after a holiday always feels so long. 5 whole days and they seemed to drag on. Sigh. At least it’s finally Friday. And we have a low key weekend ahead of us, dinner with some friends, some crafting time and a brand new tile back splash being constructed today by Scott and our very helpful neighbor.  I can’t wait to see the finished product! While we have a small square footage kitchen it is really nicely upgraded and the space was designed well, I know the back splash will add extra character to the space. A mix of subway tiles and mosaic glass, a bit more modern but keeping with the classic colors of the rest of the house.

It was also one of those weeks that I just didn’t feel like going to the gym. Sunday morning we started with an at home workout just because we were short on time. That trend continued all week. Tuesday and Thursday were both done in the comfort of my family room. Sometimes it’s a nice change to do my workout at home. I can quickly change into my workout clothes, put my DVD(s) of choice in and get going. No need to spend time driving to the gym, waiting for equipment or for a class to start.

Scott even joined me for all the workouts. Pretty impressive. I am usually the one encouraging him to come to the gym with me and he gladly joined in this week. And we used pretty much every technology available. A little Fitness Blender on YouTube via the Roku, old school Turbo Fire HIIT, Body Beast Lucky 7 Workout and Booty Camp Intervals. 3 workouts is better than nothing and as long as I get to the gym tomorrow I’ll be doing pretty well this week. 4-5 is usually my goal and changing it up with the at home workouts really helped. The HIIT workouts on Turbo Fire will always kick my butt as will intervals from Booty Camp. Tabata style and done in about 30 minutes. But the star of my workouts this week was the Body Beast Lucky Number 7. It’s a quick 22 minute workout and you will be surprised how well it works. 7 moves in a pyramid style and they are hard! My calves are really feeling it today. When I can just head downstairs and put in a DVD or find a workout on YouTube I have no excuse for missing a workout. I have my planned off days but is really important to stay active over the holidays.

Sunday: Fitness Blender workout and P90X Plyometrics

Tuesday: Turbo Fire and Lucky 7

Thursday: Booty Camp Fitness Intervals and Lucky 7

Saturday: Plan is to head to the gym for cardio and weights.

Next week I will be back to my normal gym and yoga sculpt routine! I miss sculpt. It’s been almost 2 weeks since I’ve been to a class. When I head back Sunday or early next week that may be a really tough class…

And the other major bonus of workout out at home is I can just grab a sports drink from the fridge. I was recently sent Phenoh 7.4 through a partnership with Sweat Pink and am loving it.
