Fitness Friday DVD Favorites

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

I’ve been doing a few more workouts at home lately, since recovery from sinus surgery I have had to take a step back a bit in terms of intensity. I am still working out hard but I can’t do the level I was doing before for another week or so. And in order to get effective workouts at home I have turned to DVD’s.

A few of my favorites:

Acacia produces the first 4 and if you are looking for good DVD’s I highly recommend them! They sent me these to try out over the past few months and I LOVE all of them.

Exhale 30 Day Sculpt. 6, 30 minute workouts. A mix of cardio, weights, yoga, pilates style.

Exhale Barre Basics. Great for someone just starting out with a barre class, they walk you through the moves and teach you proper form. And all you need is a chair! You will be surprised how good of a workout this is, my inner thighs were sore for days. It’s been a long time since I’ve danced on a regular basis and a few classes in and I could feel those muscles starting to get strong again.

RIPPED. I’ve mentioned this one before but it is so awesome. You burn 500+ calories in this, weights, cardio, intervals, plyometrics and stretching. When my friend Stacey was in town we did this and she is just as much of a fitness freak as me and was exhausted by the end. All you need is a set of weights!

Ultimate Kettlebell Workout for Beginners.

If you are looking to get into kettlebells I highly recommend this one, the first section walks you through all the basic moves. Once you have those mastered you can do drills and a whole workout. The instructors make the moves so easy, they are not. You really get a full body workout.

Women’s Health The Next Fitness Start DVD

Stacie just so happens to be from Minneapolis and there are 4 different workouts on here. A 30 minute total body, 20 minute metabolic boost, 15 minute speed shred and 10 minutes of abs. If you want a really good workout do the metabolic boost with the abs. You think 30 minutes isn’t enough, I promise with this DVD it is!

Try this high-intensity workout free for 21 days!
