Fitness Friday: Daily Burn Black Fire

I love the feeling of getting back to your normal workout schedule. That strong and healthy feeling that gets those endorphins goings. Working out is an integral part of my life and I love how happy it makes me. As cheesy as it sounds, I can tell a huge difference in my mood when I miss a few days of workouts. It truly does keep me sane!

Fitfluential recently offered the chance to try out Bob Harper’s Black Fire program on the Daily Burn. And can I just say, holy sh&% that was an awesome workout. You know you are in for a booty kicking when it says hard on the description. They weren’t lying. I started the workouts this week (doing one on Sunday and one on Wednesday and planning on doing one more tonight) and wow. I am sore. It’s a good sore (I know, I know, that seems like an oxymoron) but I love that feeling.

For suggested equipment you need a box, weights, medicine ball and a dowel. Many of these can be modified with what you have in your home. I don’t have a box yet but did order one because I have been doing more and more workouts at home due to time constraints. So far I have done the Strategic Endurance and the Bodyweight Tabata. All around 20 minutes They are intense!

Talk about sweaty!!

Along with my kettlebells I recently splurged and got myself a set of adjustable weights. I hate having dumbbells all over the place in my family room and now I have one easy set that goes from 5 to 50 pounds. I LOVE them! Expensive ($300) but so worth it.

They even offer a suggested meal plan, I usually eat pretty healthy but I love the ideas for more variety. This avocado and pomegranate salad sounds delicious, I might need to make it this weekend! I can’t wait to see what the other workouts look like and I think I might convince Scott to do this with me.
