Fitness Friday… Boxing, MMA and Crossfit

It’s a rainy and dreary morning here in the Twin Cities, when my alarm went off at 6 all I wanted to do was throw the covers over my head and go back to sleep! But I have a busy day ahead at work and the next 9 hours are all that is standing between me and the weekend.

 

As usual we have a pretty packed weekend but I am going to get a chance to try something new. Crossfit! My blog friend Kristen and I are checking out a free into class tomorrow morning at 9. I am excited! While I don’t think I will be joining the local box (at more than $150 a month) I am looking forward to trying a new workout. I know it’s the intro class so it may not feel like a full workout but I hope it ‘s at least fun.

 

And in the theme of trying new things I did a boxing/MMA DVD workout this week, it was 55 minutes of major calorie burning, 500+ calories! It was a really fun workout too. This will be making more appearances in my workout routine.

 

Workouts This Week:

Sunday: Cardio and weights

Monday: Bootcamp on BeFit

Tuesday: Off

Wednesday: Boxing

Thursday: Yoga Sculpt

Friday: Off

Saturday: Trying Crossfit at 9 am

 

I received Booty Camp Fitness a few years ago and the DVD”s got buried behind other programs and when I was looking for a workout to do Wednesday night I came across the MMA/Boxing style. It was so much fun. I need to do these more often.
