My exclusive interview with Frederique Murphy of Mountain Moving Mindset has inspired me even further! I have been wanting to feature her as a success story for quite some time.
Fortunately, I finally had the opportunity to catch up with Frederique:)
Frederique Murphy is a mindset strategist, who specializes in the areas of Inspirational Strategy, Leadership, Communication, Change, Impact, and Achievement.
In this interview, Frederique shares her experience as a successful speaker, coach, and leader. She shares awesome tips on improving your mindset, shares her most satisfying moment in business, and offers her perspective on success.

Stacie: It's an honor to have you as our featured success story! Please tell us about yourself and your exciting journey as an entrepreneur.
Frederique: Thanks Stacie, the honor is all mine!
So, a little bit about myself... I LOVE what I do, and launched my business to be the vehicle to my dreams.
I see it as my mission to provide individuals, corporate executives, and entrepreneurs with Mountain Moving Mindset (M3) resources to help you strategize with vision, design with clarity, plan with focus, and lead with momentum.
In essence, to help you leverage the M3 Power within you, so that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to, and turn your dreams into reality.

Stacie: Everyone defines success in their own way. What does success mean to you?
Frederique: For me, success is living on purpose.
Stacie: Who was your inspiration growing up?
Frederique: My grand-father; in today’s words, he would probably have been labelled as a “serial entrepreneur”. I watched him, going from one venture to another, and clearly remember how fascinated I was, particularly with his belief.
This is something that is very important, and, all of us should believe in ourselves and our visions and missions with every single fiber in our body.
You know, how I say: “Absolutely amazing things happen when you believe!”, right?
Well, this comes from this.
Stacie: If you could talk to one person from history, who would it be and why?
Frederique: Walt Disney; as Sir Isaac Newton said: “If I have seen further it is only by standing on the shoulders of giants.”
As a huge inspiration to me, Walt Disney is one of those giants. He was an incredible leader, and again here, his belief in himself and his dreams was a catalyst to making it happen.
Stacie: What book has inspired you the most?
Frederique: Ouh la la, I read a LOT! I don’t think I can pick one, and instead would like to suggest you take a look at this resource page, where I highlight my Top 10 books ;-)
Stacie: If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?
Frederique: Nothing!!!
If I’d do anything differently, I would not be here today, being featured as your April 2013 Success Story!
You see, I strongly believe that everything happens for a reason and the challenges we face not only make us stronger, but also, teach us what we need to learn along the way.
Changing any of my past would result in not being the me as of today... So, nothing.
Stacie: How far are you willing to go to succeed in your life and in your business?
Frederique: As far as I need to, while respecting and aligning with my values and ethics.
Stacie: What has been your most satisfying moment in business?
Frederique: I’m grateful, there have been so many; if I had to pick one, I’d say, standing on stage at the end of my very first live event, and seeing the sparkles in my attendees’ eyes and the smiles on their faces, knowing that they now believed they could make it happen.
I cannot think of anything more satisfying than that!
Stacie: What do you feel is the major difference between entrepreneurs and those who work for someone else?
Frederique: When you work for someone else, you help them make THEIR dreams happen; when you work for yourself, you make YOUR dreams happen.
Stacie: How do you generate new ideas?
Frederique: By switching off ;-)
I’d say that over 90% of my ideas (and for sure the strongest ones) were generated while I was baking, which is one of my favorite hobbies.
Stacie: To wrap this up, what three pieces of advice would you offer entrepreneurs starting out today?
Frederique: It really does start with you.
1.) Believe you can do it; and if you don’t, work with a coach to help you overcome these “limiting beliefs”. Otherwise, these “limiting beliefs” will hinder and stop you.
2.) Pick whom you surround yourself with, so pick wisely.
3.) Make decisions. Decisions help you move forward and pay attention to your decisions. Ensure you make them based on faith, not fear.
