Favourite Facial Masks Of The Moment // Queen Helene, Giovanni + Quick Fix Facials!

By Makemeupmandy @mandywebb28

As a busy mummy, I really find it difficult to organize for time off to go for a facial. The last time I went was at endota spa and that was in June last year. Heck, I have been talking about going for a hair cut for months now and still haven’t found the time! I do manage to sneak in some bath + facial time in the quiet of the night sometimes when the kids are in bed though so I thought I’d share some of my fave masks of the moment.

Favourite Facial Masks Of The Moment // Queen Helene, Giovanni + Quick Fix Facials!

Queen Helene Original Mint Julep Masque
One of my favourite masks and so affordable too {I got mine from iherb}. This mask feels so refreshing, minty cool and I find it extremely useful in handling my blackheads and shrinking my pores. It’s also supposed to help dry up acne and pimples. “Even for individuals who are fortunately free of skin problems, Mint Julep Masque… helps relax tired muscles and ease tension lines on the face and neck”. Super awesome; I think this is a must-try for all skin types.

Giovanni D:tox System Purifying Facial Mask
I use this less often than I do the Queen Helene one purely because I feel that it is somehow ‘richer’ and I feel like once a week {or every few weeks} does it for me. This mask uses volcanic ash to “extract and absorb pollutants” and activated charcoal to draw impurities to the surface for detox purposes. Additionally, Acai and Goji Berry help to fight free radicals. This mask is meant to be used 2 to 3 times a week.

Quick Fix Facials Mega Moisture Mask | Dry and Thirsty Skin
I love how Quick Fix Facials’ products cater to specific skin types so you can pick out what suits you best straight away. This mask I really needed, God knows my skin has been very, very thirsty indeed! Hyaluronic Acid is used to replace moisture and provide deep hydration, Vitamin E is used to help keep skin in good condition with its antioxidants and Marine Collagen is used to help skin retain moisture and elasticity. This Mega Moisture Mask has a light fruity scent which I love {which matters to me since it’s gonna be on my face for more than a couple of minutes!} and it gives my skin a good dose of hydration.

Quick Fix Facials Anti-Blemish Mud Mask | Oily and Spot Prone Skin
My skin is combination-dry but I tried this anyway and oh, I love the soothing tea tree oil in it! I could feel the effects of it immediately and I enjoy the mild tea tree oil smell too. This mask uses Dead Sea Mud – helps absorb and control oil production, Salicylic Acid – helps draw out impurities and tighten pore and Tea Tree Oil – helps treat spots and prevent future blemishes. It says 10x facials on the front but I can tell it’s going to last me way longer than that {and that’s with me applying a generous layer each time}.

I usually use them in order, finishing with either the Quick Fix Anti-Blemish or Quick Fix Mega Moisture {depending on my current skin condition & needs}. Sometimes, for a quick mask while changing diapers and all that, it is my Queen Helene Mint Julep that I reached for {partly because it’s much thicker and doesn’t drip off as I move around}.

Is there really anything like a nice warm bath, music, candles and a good treatment of facial masks?
What are some of your favourite masks?

*The Quick Fix masks have been sent to me by PR. The rest were bought by me. Opinions are always genuine and honest!
