Event: Urban Decay Launches the Vice 2 Palette

By Beautifulbuns

Most people go into a semi-hibernation mode starting from Friday – I wish I could say the same for me. Somehow, my body kicks into overdrive on Fridays and the weekends – you’d be surprised at the amount of things I get done. Sigh, adopted by Earth much?

Just last Saturday, I went for my usual step aerobics class, and then rushed down to Bugis+ (the former Iluma) for the Sephora / Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette launch. In true Hollywood movie-style, I was doing all sorts of unspeakable things on the cab. Wiping of le sweaty bodeh and le armpits with wet wipes, frantic toweling dry of the damp hair and very liberally dosing my entire head with dry shampoo – you name it, I did it. I was just glad I didn’t get STOMPed. Heh.

Urban Decay’s Glide-On Pencils – really, really rich and pigmented with intense color BUT smudges quite easily due to our shitty humid climate. Tip: To make it stay longer (and to really enhance the colours), dust a coat of any Vice 2 eyeshadow color on top.

The front of the casing is a tie-dye pattern, and every single palette has a different design (cos of the way they do the tie-dye). Woot. Totally loving the crystal-diamante UD logo too. Zomg. Opulence much.  Did I even mention that the case has a slight spring motion, so all you have to do is to press the button, and the top gently flips open?

The limited edition Vice 2 palette consists of a double-ended Good Karma Shadow and Crease Brush and the following colours:

  • SMOKEOUT – dark taupey-black satin
  • LOVESICK – black matte with iridescent micro-glitter

And the ladies of the day gather to take a photo with Steve – can you see my tiny head there at the back? I’m somewhere under the model’s eye. Yes, there. lol. I’m that short. Ah well, that’s why I have put a larger version of me and Steve at the side. heh.

In typical beauty junkie hoarder style, I have yet to try out my Vice 2 palette. Hey you know you’d do the same thing – open, caress slightly, smile vaguely and mistily at the pretty colours, and then close it again. Heh. I promise to get to reviewing the palette soon!

The limited edition Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette is available at Sephora for SGD$88.
