Event: Starlash and Their Star Lashes

By Beautifulbuns

This is a kinda belated post, which is very unlikely of me cos I’m usually pretty on the ball when it comes to post-event coverage. I must have lost my balls.. or something. lol.

Anyhoos, I attended this Starlash event a couple of weeks ago with Christina, and here’s what went down. I would have taken more photos but I got hauled up to stage to be the model for the second set of lashes – the kawaii look (which I have since termed the harajuku gyaru look). You’ll see why later.

starlash eventA full (overcramped) table of bloggers listening to the opening speech by the Starlash staff.

starlash event (1)The guest makeup artist Elrica (who’s also a beauty blogger)

starlash event (2)Sharing her awesome tips about how to apply fake eyelashes – something that I have a major problem with. Just remember MSG – M (measure), S (snip), and G (glue). Pretty damn simple and catchy if I say so myself. P.S. Don’t apply glue onto the lash bone – do it on the edge instead.

starlash event (3)Once the demonstration was over, we were allowed to pick a set of natural lashes to try on – you can see the crowd and the speed at which the lashes zoomed off the shelf. Scary vulture balls, Batman.

starlash event (4)And voila! I have false eyelashes on meeeee (which I took about 15-25 mins to apply sheesh). How do I look?

starlash event (5)A Q-tip with makeup removing liquid / eyeslash glue removing liquid in the stem – just twist the top and it’ll flow down into the cotton portion of the Q-tip and you can use it. Voila!

starlash event (6)We were then introduced to a variety of their drama lashes… and I was hauled on stage to be a model…

starlash event (7)… voila! Happy Freaky Friday everyone! hurhurhur
