Event: Pantene’s New Pro-V Colour & Perm Lasting Care Range

Last week, I learnt something new when attending the launch of Pantene’s new range – that hair can be a whale too.

Did you know that repeated chemical treatments (be it dyeing or perming or rebonding) can result in your hair becoming more porous, and thus absorb more water and lose more of the important stuff (aka the color dye pigments)? Well, that’s if my memory serves me well.. haha.

Anyhoos, here’s what took place at the Pantene event.

Getting a relatively bad seat at the back cos Christina and I arrived too early, went to makan, came back and woah the whole world had descended before us. damn.

Paying attention like the A student I was (not!) heh. But anyway, this is an important thing you should know, since I’m pretty sure everyone dyes their hair or does some form of chemical treatment to it.

“Ladies, those bunches of hair you’re holding will turn into gold if you drop them into the water” – kidding. that was what I wish she’d said. It’s actually a drop test to show that virgin hair doesn’t absorb water as quickly as treated hair since it’s less porous

As you can see, in the initial moments, the virgin hair doesn’t sink as quickly as the non-virgin hair.
Of course, everything sinks in the end. Earth, gravity.

The star of the day arrived – we got to meet Liv Tyler!!!

The real stars of the night – the new Color & Perm Lasting Care Range, which comes with an all-new Liquid Crystal Shampoo System that helps to maintain the vibrant and rich color and bouncy curls for up to six weeks.
