Event: Launch of Dermal Therapy

By Beautifulbuns

I’ve never been one to mince my words much, so I’ll just be honest and say that when I first heard of Dermal Therapy, I was like “simi lai eh?!” local slang for wth is this?!).  For a skincare brand, this was a superbly blah name. It just didn’t sound exciting (although I probably wouldn’t be impressed by a brand that named itself “The Best Product EVAAAAA” either).

Hence, it was with some trepidation (and zero expectations) that I attended the launch event.  Boy, was I surprised.

The products, true to my visualisation, were simple and no-frills – encased in simple white and blue packagings without fancy graphics. But when I tried them on, HOLYMOTHEROFAWESOME.

Host of the day – Yasmin (or Jasmine?), a radio DJ from a certain radio station in Singapore. Whilst I can’t really remember which station she’s from, I do remember that she’s a surprisingly outstanding host, and that’s saying something, considering the many events I’ve attended. She’s witty, funny, engaging, doesn’t have an annoying emcee accent (oh yes, you know what I mean, laydees and gennelmen) and most importantly, managed to hold attention despite certain small groups chattering non-stop in a corner. Major props to this chick!

Loretta Fung and Yasmin – I think Loretta’s the MD or CEO of the company that brought in Dermal Therapy

Amit Saha, Group Technical Manager taking the stage. “Hmmm. Do I think this product is good? Well.. of course! -cues laughter-” (that didn’t actually happen. It’s just what goes on inside my head. Yes I do have dramas playing out in my head.)

And this, laydees and gennelmen, is THE SHITZ. Once again, I use the word SHITZ with love, kinda like how the rappers do it. This is the Dermal Therapy Hydrating Wash, which has a rather thick consistency and dispenses via a pump. It even contains urea – I’m not gonna go all nutty bio professor on you guys – check out this link to find out what urea is. What I will let you know is that THIS IS SO AWESOME OMG OMG OMG.

It left my hand feeling ridiculously, incredibly and unbelievably smooth, and that’s saying something, since I generally have very smooth hands. You HAVE to buy this product. What’s more, it’s even suitable for those with eczema. I will be doing a proper review once I get back from Korea in 2 weeks’ time, so check back again

:D

Amit being really happy with his Heel Magic, which the host Yasmin has also tried and loves.

Am loving this photo of Christina and another blogger trying on their Lip Balm which has a slight tingly sensation upon application, kinda like my Buxom Lips lipgloss, but without the pink tinge or glitter.

After this, we entered a time warp, time sped forward and it became Christmas since we were gifted with the entire range of the Dermal Therapy products to try.

If you follow me on Instagram, you’d have seen this first-hand last week
:D

I’ve already ripped open the packaging of the Hydrating wash to try, dabbed Heel Magic my heels, slathered some Lip Balm on my lips and moisturised my (and a male colleague’s) hands with the Hand Balm. Once I have more conclusive results, I’m gonna do my reviews. Stay tuned people peepers!
