Yay! There’s nothing like a K-beauty event to start the year off. Since Laneige wants to share the secret of K-beauty with me, who am I to turn it down? It’s one kick in my derriere, pushing me one step closer to Kpop star-awesomeness. Bring on the matching girl group outfits~! heh.
Not one, but two Korean stars welcoming us to the event. Hello Hye Gyo and hello Joong Ki (yeahhh I’m on first-name basis with them hurhurhur). Well, cardboard standees are a pretty good life-sized representation anyways.

This looked so much like candy that I really felt like munching on it. It’s the new White Plus Renew Capsule Sleeping Pack (comes in a box of 16 sachets of 3ml each, $42) which also contains the MelaCrusher technology. Notice how it looks like a white marshmallow floating in clear gel? It’s actually whitening capsule with hydro gel cream. It comes in single-use hygienic sachets, and can be stored in the fridge before usage for more optimal results. Just peel it open, mix it up thoroughly and apply it onto your face overnight. This Sleeping Pack is said to make your skin 2 tones brighter – I’ll try it out and see how it works!
Since it’s the start of 2014, we were asked to put down our Whitening Resolution for 2014. We also had our silhouettes cut – no prizes for guessing which is me. That’s right, I’m bun-head. Hat-girl is Alethea and Ponytail Girl is Maybeline .
I initially didn’t have my hair in a bun, but after I got my first silhouette, I felt that it looked kinda blahhh. It didn’t truly represent who I was, so I badgered the artist into re-cutting a new one. Heh.
Oh, and if you’re interested to know, my Whitening Resolution is to apply sunblock more religiously. I’ve been depending quite a fair bit on products with SPF factors, but I guess it’s about time I actually apply a sunblock product. Don’t judge meeeeee.
