There are very few things in the world that can tempt me out of bed at 8.30am on a weekend morning – 1) a zombie invasion, 2) free Chanel bags, 3) my step aerobics class, and 4) beauty-related events. Since we’re all still not the walking dead, you can safely assume that I got my carcass outta bed a couple of days ago (amid the pouring rain!) for good reason – yes, Korean beauty class with one of my favorite brands Laneige as well as their makeup artist Cat Koh, here I come!
The star of the day – The Sparkling Party Makeup collection, a limited edition launch for this year’s festive season.
The set consists of 2 Water Drop Tints (in Neon Pink and Raspberry Pink), 2 Nail polishes in Golden Bubble and Pink Wine as well as a Sparkling Dust Eyes duo (in Pink Dust and Gold Dust)
In specially-created smaller-sized handy carry-around sizes :DThese 5 new friends are packed in a box that resembles a clutchThe chatty and effervescent makeup artist Cat Koh (she’s Korean, but I can’t explain the surname which sounds so distinctively Singaporean Hah).Model of the day Shanshan with half her face doneCan you see the difference more clearly now?Cat showing us how her face has that nice glowy dewy finish only when light reflects off it :) I’m just really impressed with the lengthening qualities of the mascara used – it’s the Infinite Volume Setting MascaraWefie using Cat’s Selfie stick!

And here’s Cat with her signature pose :DThese are the Water Drop Tint colours and Nail colours in the set. I love the Water Drop Tint cos it gives that beautiful glossy sheen with a good tint of pink. I’ve previously reviewed the Rose Mauve version, so these two will make great additions to my lippie army! :DEvonnz v nicely giving me a her hand in my photography – literally. Hah.Using the exact same makeup method used on the model of the day – first I applied a light layer of matte light brown shadow on the lids, and then coated the entire socket with Pink Dust. It’s really subtle and creates more of a 3D effect that’s more visible in real life than in photos. I love that it’s a special almost-cream texture, so there’s really no fall out of the glitter onto the cheeks. The eyeliner used is the ArtPlay Liner, and the dark eye circles are covered up by the Watery Cushion Concealer. Of course, the face is done with the Laneige Pore Control BB Cushion :DVery impressed by the mascara
Laneige Sparkling Party Makeup Collection is now available at all Laneige stores and counters for $49. (Psst: An actual review to come soon!)
