I’ve always wished for affordable Korean fashion in Singapore, so when I got an SMS from a long-time friend inviting me to the grand opening of Headline Seoul in Singapore, I knew I had to be there, even if I had to squeeze out some time in between attending the press conference of Lady First Singapore (女人我最大 Nu Ren Wo Zui Da) and the Dior event.
I’d missed the earlier invite (sometime in February) cos I was too busy, so I didn’t know what to expect… Well, here’s what Headline Seoul has in store for you.

To be honest, I was slightly disappointed – the clothings weren’t really what I had expected. Where are all the bold colours, edgy styles and structured pieces? Majority of the items there were frilly, pastel/light coloured, printed, flowy jersey material types, and semi-blah items. Compared to what I’ve seen in Hongdae, Dongdaemun and Myeongdong, the pieces really don’t catch my eye.
Thankfully, new stocks are supposed to arrive every 6 weeks, so I’m hoping that better stuff come in soon. Another good thing is that the prices are surprisingly wallet-friendly, ranging from about $15 onwards. Check it out for yourself?
