Christine from Temptalia, whom I absolutely love, has added to her awesomeness by creating a weekly challenge page. This could not come at a more perfect time since I want to be more creative instead of just doing a bunch of product reviews all the time. I also want to work on my skills, which I will admit need a lot of work. So I am going to consider this a mini journey of sorts. This weeks challenge is to draw inspiration from spring flowers. After looking through gorgeous options, I decided on the Crocus flower. I love the coloring and variation. The combination of white, violet and orange really speaks to me. In some cases, the orange looks more yellow, so I went with a color that combined the two. I used the Urban Decay Book of Shadows IV to create this look. I'm not in love with the end result, but like I said, this is a mini journey that I want to share. I will probably try this again later in the week, I used four shadows by Urban Decay: Zephyr(true white), Gravity(shimmery purple), Bender(pine tree green) and Baked(gold). I applied Zephyr as an all over shade and I applied Baked in the inner corner and spread about halfway across the lid. I left the outer portion white. I applied Gravity in the crease and used Bender to line my lower lashes.I wanted to keep the look soft and delicate, much like the flower itself. I have always loved tulips, but I think the Crocus is my favorite. Oh, and in other news. I applied to be a contributing author for a site called Interactive Biology, and they accepted my application =D Now I will be writing an article for them once a week. I have always wanted to do writing for a site, so this is a dream come true. Especially since I am still a student. So once I get started, I will post links to my articles, which be on topics related to anatomy and physiology. Don't worry; they won't be boring =) Part of the site's greatness is the fun atmosphere.
