Easy Holiday Party Makeup

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
For many people. this is the time of year for all kinds of parties. It is also the time of year for sparkle and pops of red. While I was in the process of getting ready, I somehow came up with this look after disliking everything else I came up with. The result was an easy, festive look that wasn't over the top.

I started off with my brows for a change. I filled them in using Milani's Stay Put Brow Color in Medium Brown. To shape them up, I used Tarte's Shape Tape Concealer. I also used this concealer to prime my eye lids.
To create the wing, I used Stila's Got Inked Cushion Liner in Garnet. I don't know if I got a bad one, but this stuff did not work well at all. I had to go over the line 5 or 6 times to get it to show up.
For the glitter, I used Revlon's Photoready Eye Art Lid+Line+Lash in Topaz Twinkle. These are really good. The glitter applies easily, dries quickly, and stays put.

To prime my face, I used Dr. Brandt's Pores No More primer. I followed it up with Sonia Kashuk's Soft Focus Satin Matte Foundation and Tarte's Shape Tape Concealer.
To contour just a bit, I used Profusion's cream contour stick. For my blush and highlighter, I used M.A.C's Nutcracker Sweet Peach Face Compact.
For a pop of red, I used the new bareMinerals Gen Nude liquid lipstick in Naughty

That's all there is to it. I am going to try to do a more fun, bold look at some point. Perhaps something for New Year's Eve. The only thing you need now is an ugly Christmas sweater or a fabulous dress.
I am going to try to get another post up today, but in case I don't, I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving and if you happen to go shopping, be careful and courteous. Don't be like the crazy idiots we always see on the news.
