DNA Protect- Liver Cleanse Juice

By Healyounaturally @healU_naturally

How do you expose yourself to radiation:

  • X-rays of any type
  • Airport security check points
  • CT Scans, and any type of X-Rays  (Ask for a low dose radiation machine or call ahead for an office that offers them)
  • Tobacco, Wireless devises, Smoke detectors etc..

This particular combination of vegetables before and after being exposed to radiation will help help protect your DNA from extensive damage.   You can also add radishes to enhance the effect.

How does this juice protect my DNA composition?

Whether you dip ‘em or eat ‘em straight up, a few crunchy carrot sticks each day may help reduce the risk of certain cancers. Specifically, breast cancer.

In a recent study of African American women, the participants who munched on the crunchy little root vegetables at least three times a week enjoyed a 17 percent lower risk of breast cancer.

Femme-Friendly Foods

Researchers tracked the health and eating habits of the women for 12 years and found that eating vegetables in general was a boon to health, reducing the odds of a specific type of breast cancer (estrogen receptor negative/progesterone receptor negative) by a whopping 43 percent in women who ate two servings per day instead of four or fewer per week. But carrots were great for reducing the risk of all breast cancer types with just three servings per week.

More Breast Benefits

What about carrots makes them so extra special for breast health? Could be their rich array of carotenoid antioxidants. These compounds help protect against oxidative DNA damage, a key event in the cancer process. Not a carrot lover? Filling up on cruciferous vegetables also seemed to be particularly good for lowering breast cancer risk in the women. We’re talking foods like broccoli, collard greens, cabbage, and mustard greens.

Combining Carrots and Celery

The combined efforts of celery and carrots offer a magnified approach to bone health. The “Natural Medicine Journal” says that insufficient amounts of vitamin K have been shown to increase the risk of hip fractures in elderly men and women. Similar research conducted by the Nurses’ Health Study and published in the “American Journal of Clinical Nutrition” found that women aged 38 to 63 could reduce their risk of hip fractures by 45 percent through increased dietary intake of vitamin K.

Disease Preventive

Coronary heart disease, stroke and cancer have all been associated with deficiencies of vitamin C found in apples, according to the Linus Pauling Institute. This is due to the ability of vitamin C to protect proteins, lipids and carbohydrates from the damaging effects of environmental toxins and pollutants. The vitamin C found in apples ultimately protects genetic information of DNA and RNA, the transportation system of genetic material in cells. The high volume of antioxidants in vitamin C gives momentum to the regeneration of disease-fighting capabilities of other antioxidants, including vitamin E.

Live Cleanse and Milk  Thistle

I add a few drops of Milk Thistle to aid my liver with cleansing specially if you suffer from Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) or any disease related to the liver.  A few drops will do specially if I my tummy isn’t feeling so great after going out to eat the night before.

Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) has been used for 2,000 years as an herbal remedy for a variety of ailments, particularly liver, kidney, and gall bladder problems. Several scientific studies suggest that substances in milk thistle (especially a flavonoid called silymarin) protect the liver from toxins, including certain drugs such as acetaminophen (Tylenol), which can cause liver damage in high doses. Silymarin has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and it may help the liver repair itself by growing new cells.

Did you learn something new today?  I am glad.  Did you know it already, even better.   What else do you use to protect yourself  from radiation?
