What is the best time to call customers for home party plan bookings?
Is it now or later? Today or tomorrow? Now or never?
Of course, if you never make that call, you won't be in business for very long.
If you are selecting between now or later, the best time is NOW!
Procrastination is not one of the keys to success in the direct sales business.
The good news is that this can be easily modified just a bit.
The best time to call is when it is good for you.
If you are rushing to your office, it is probably not the best time to pick up the phone and call.
If you are eating dinner, it is not the best time.
If you are at a bar watching the game with some friends, it is definitely not the best time.
If it is the middle of the night, it is absolutely not the best time.
I'm sure the voice in your head is telling you to make that call as soon as possible.
Don't put it off and be a procrastinator!
Just think about it...The person who you are calling may be experiencing the exact same things I just mentioned above.
As a matter of fact, it may not ever be the perfect time, but YOU do not know what they are doing so the time to do it NOW if it the right time for you!
Before you make that call, take the time to write some direct sales scripts then use these simple considerations make the time right.
Making it at the right time increases your chances for success.
If you make calls across the country, it is crucial to know the time zone you will be calling.
The best time to make the call, with minor modifications, is now!
A good rule of thumb is to never call before 9 AM. or never call after 9 PM.
Begin the conversation with a friendly greeting such as, “Is this a good time to talk?”
Another important tip is to make cold calls on the nights you want to give presentations. If you are planning to give a presentation on Thursday, start calling after 9 AM onThursday.
These calls will help you find people who are at home on the presentation date.
These calls will also help fill your presentation dates in the future by locating new clients and guests.
An important part of calling is the follow up call. This call should be done in a timely manner. Once again, the rules for calling also apply to any follow up calls you make.The goal of a follow up call is to make that call while they still remember who you are and what you sell.
If it fits within the parameters of proper calling procedure, then call NOW.
To make your home party plan bookings as successful as possible, you need to make your calls promptly, follow up in a timely manner and be consistent with your phone calls.
Making calls is one of the most important components of your party plan business. It is imperative that you use the phones wisely.
