When I first arrived on the Ideal Cases website I was pleased to see it was clearly laid out and it was immediately obvious how I was to go about designing my case.
First you select your device (iPhone, Kindle, Galaxy, Nook etc). Next you select the type of case you want your design to be printed on. I went for a plastic clip on gloss case in black, but there were also rubber cases, flip cases and black, white and navy colour-ways. My case retails for £12.49.
Next you are given four options. You can either:
- Upload photos onto a grid layout.
- Upload photos onto a template design.
- Start with a completely blank canvas and freestyle.
- Design some fan art (I feel a lot of Directioners and Twihards will select this option!)
I went for the first option and selected a 6 grid layout from the 9 different layouts available. I decided to keep the background black but there are a load of different color and pattern options. You can also add in some text if you like but I decided against it.The last step for my design was uploading images onto my grid, either from your computer, Facebook, Instagram or Flickr. I went with some Instagram images of my cats Larry and Axel. Next you hit ‘Order’ and you’re done!
What do you think of my design? A step too far for the crazy cat lady?
