How to Build Motivation to Exercise After Work

Follow the steps below if you want to maintain motivation to exercise after work and finally reach your fitness goals! *Identify a power purpose that gives you excitement, power, fulfillment, and joy. Why do you want a smaller body?  What will that bring to your life?  To the lives of those you love?   Why do you want a business of your own?  How does active living tie into that picture?   Why are these things so important to you?  Why do you really, really want them? Who is your role model?  Do you want to be like them?  If so, why? Will your fitness goals help you to accomplish your life goals/purpose?  How? Here’s an example of the power of meaningful goals and purpose. As a weight management specialist and body confidence consultant, I can say that I’ve seen client after client sabotage their fitness goals because of one key reason: They dis-empower themselves with weight management goals that they have no control over. Do you have control over where you lose weight?  No. Are you always in control of your body?  No. BUT, what you are in control of is the behaviors, attitudes, and thoughts that it takes to bring those desires into your life. When you focus on what you can control versus what you can’t, you create a powerful world for yourself. You can create AND maintain a fit body, a successful lifestyle, and a fulfilling life.  You are able to be the person you were put here on earth to become. And that’s one of the greatest successes you could ever accomplish (at least in my opinion)! Focus on goals that give you power- makes you feel on top of the world.  Discover goals that create a burning desire on the inside.

  If your goals don’t inspire and excite you, then it’s time to hit the drawing board again
