I'm not a huge lip gloss person, but my all time favorite formula is from Buxom. I just love the minty tingle and how they make my lips look and feel. Naturally, when I saw that they have White Russian in special packaging for the holidays, I had to get one.
I went with White Russian because it is the perfect grab and go color. It is a great everyday color and I always have it in my purse. White Russian is a pinky nude that doesn't wash me out. The high shine formula mixed with the slight tingle makes my lips look a little more full without being dramatic.
Even though this is a light color, the pigment and color payoff is really good. I don't have to apply multiple layers for it to show up well. Considering it is a lip gloss, it stays on pretty well. I only have to re-apply once or twice all day, but it really depends on how much you eat and drink. Of course there are plenty of times I just reapply because I love the way it feels. My favorite aspect of this gloss is how hydrating it is. Honestly, I feel like it can be more moisturizing than a lot of lip balms out there. Buxom formulated this with vitamin A, vitamin E, and hyaluronic spheres. Thank you for that, Buxom.
The applicator is great, too. It is a small doe foot applicator that allows for easy, precise application.
The packaging is pretty much the same as the original, but the Holiday Kiss ones have a gem on top of the wand for a little extra shine. The box is also different with silver lip prints and a red bow going across it. This would be a great gift idea for someone who is already in love with this formula. I bought mine online at Sephora, and they only have White Russian. Ulta also has three new colors, but these are not in the holiday packaging. I would consider this a must have. Even if I don't use it everyday, it is something I always have close by for a touch of color, shine, and hydration.
These lip creams are $20 each and this packaging is exclusive only to Sephora. They are well worth the price tag.
