Well, to say I’m underwhelmed is a massive understatement. As someone in her early 20s, I don’t understand why Birchbox insist on sending me anti aging products. They did last month too and I didn’t use those either. I’ve now unsubscribed because apart from the OPI nail lacquer I don’t like anything in this box. I’m a sucker for nail polishes and I’ve recently bought my first OPI nail polish so this was a welcome addition to my collection, especially as it’s a nice color.
Despite the fact this box is worth over £60, I honestly don’t think it is worth that on the surface. The products don’t look particularly good quality, and none of them smell very nice. Having said that, the texture of the B/Attitude Body Soufflé does feel very smooth and soothing, if not a little sticky. The tea on the other hand is a total waste of time.
I’d rather have more make up products and less skin care items, and if there are skin care products perhaps Birchbox might consider providing products for people below 40 years old, and possibly with oily skin. As such, I’d tell you not to bother with this box, and try Glossybox instead.
