Not too long ago I raved aboutSoap and Glory’s Hot Cloth Cleanser. Although I loved it, rather than repurchasing it, I decided to give their Peaches and Clean Cleanser a try. I just couldn’t resist. I mean peaches...come on! Delicious!
Firstly, Soap & Glory describe this as a cleansing milk. In my experience cleansing milks tend to be quite watery, however this product has a much thicker, creamier, richer texture than a traditional cleansing milk. it melted off my make up effortlessly, and the handy pump bottle made sure I used just enough product without any wastage.
In terms of results, this definitely did help to clear up my spotty skin. I’ve read reviews saying that this product has burned some peoples skin. It does say on the bottle that it will make your skin more photosensitive. I have extremely sensitive skin and am allergic to everything and I’ve had no such problems with this at all.
And the smell, oh the smell! You wouldn’t expect anything less than sickeningly sweet from Soap & Glory would you? This cleanser smells strongly of peaches, of course, but there’s also a huge whiff of menthol in there too. I checked out the ingredients list and it turns out there’s some eucalyptus in there which is probably what’s giving off that menthol smell. As with all Soap & glory scents, you’ll love it or hate it.
Speaking of ingredients, I’m all about fruit acids these days. I’m much preferring them to harsh exfoliating granules (which I used to love), for unclogging pores. Fruit acids are one of the main ingredients in Peaches and Clean making this cleanser perfect for oily skinned ladies like myself. One thing I’m not so keen on is the trademarked gobbledegook in this product. Detoxyboost or Pore Shrink R2 anyone? They’re joking with that right?
All in I think I’d repurchase Soap & Glory’s Peaches and Clean before their Hot Cloth Cleanser. The texture and formulation just worked even better with my skin than the hot cloth cleanser, and I hate myself for saying it because I’m a substance over style kind of gal, but I really did enjoy the smell.
If you have oily skin, love sweet smells and have some Boots advantage points to spend, then give this a go. For the price of £7.00 (or 700 points) it could just be the little skin miracle you’ve been waiting for.
