Many students go to China are interested in learning Mandarin Chinese and Chinese culture but don’t really take the time and effort to study either. This was not the case for Jan Wostyn who, in 2001 came to China and studied at three different top universities (华中师范大学，厦门大学，复旦大学) ，and then co-founded Hutong School, which is now one of the largest private Chinese Schools in China.
Jan’s dedication and stories about learning Chinese are very inspirational and makes him the perfect person to talk about today’s topic: Studying Mandarin Chinese in China.
