The Linkedin profile has become more powerful and usefull to apply for jobs. Recently, Linkedin has launched the new Apply with Linkedin button which makes easier the process of applying for a new job.
Linkedin is moving towards their goal: To make the job application process as simple as a click. In my opinión, they are going in the right direction. But now I ask myself: Why now and not before?.
Anyway, going back to the button. Apply with linkedin button can be embed it on companies websites like twitter or Facebook buttons. The button basically lets you submit your LinkedIn profile as your resume. Once you submit your job application, you can message your contacts at the company and ask for a referral – That is a really good feature, Way to go Linkedin. Also, you can manage you applications on your “Saved Jobs” tab.
The Apply With LinkedIn button is here to help us prevent a horrible punishment: rebuilt our resumes over and over again. I’m serious, think about it: Why should we build many of times our resumes in different formats if all our professional information is in our Linkedin profile? Now we can apply to hundreds of potential employers with the speed of a single click and the help of our friends inside the company who can recommend us.
