Summary:
I’ve not had the best experience with Accessorize products, but this one may have changed my mind. It’s a small cross body bag in 2 shades of brown and one of cream with a gold chain finish, and I rather like it.
The bag is one which will just about hold the bare essentials, but little else. As such it makes a great bag for a day or night out, especially as the plain color palette goes with a range of different outfits. With 2 main compartments separated with individual magnetic clips, this bag allows you to separate and hold your items securely. My purse takes up half of the space of the back compartment, and my make up and phone takes up most of the front compartment which might give you an indication on the size – it’s about as wide as a standard paperback book and about two-three times as thick.
Unlike the Accessorize Lexington Satchel this one seems to be far better quality. The overall material seems thicker and more scratch/mark resistant. It’s waterproof and doesn’t feel flimsy or cheap either. The magnetic clip seems stronger and the chain/strap is far more sturdy. Overall this is a much better quality bag and much more functional as it’s got a handy zip pocket in the back compartment and a pocket for my mobile phone in the front compartment. I like that everything has its place with this bag, it’s easy to access and it’s secure. Better yet, it looks better than the Lexington Satchel and goes with more colours. For £27 it’s not bad value for money, and even better with 10% student discount. I’d recommend it! The only thing I’d change is having the bag a couple of centimetres wider.
