Accepting the 90 Day Challenge for a Newer, Sexier Us!

I have been struggling with my weight for years. When Kenin and I started traveling full-time for TheConstantRambler I realized how difficult it would be to eat healthy and get enough exercise to lose weight. Eating healthier was not as difficult as I made myself believe, but getting regular exercise when you spend 10+ hours in the car a day is a bit more challenging. Ken and I were approached by some new friends that were on a very similar mission, to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle. They introduced us to the 90 Day Challenge!

I have to admit, I am a bit of a skeptic when it comes to weight loss programs. I’ve seen hundreds of programs and systems that all claim to help you instantly lose weight or your money back or transform your entire life in just 5 minutes a day. This one’s different. This program is designed to help you transform your lifestyle over the course of a 90 day challenge. They give you a set of tools to help you cleanse your body, move away from unhealthy fast and processed foods and get you on the road to health and fitness. This is only one part of a life long lifestyle change, but it’s a huge part. It’s the program that’s going to help us get there. Ken and I are signing on to do this to kickstart our weight loss and learn better habits. Let’s be candid, neither of us is happy to look or feel like we do today.

This 90 day challenge combines a simple meal replacement system with your own added exercise program and healthy meals. To me the healthy meal is one of the most important components. Even though we are replacing 2-meals a day with a super balanced shake, it’s up to us to form healthy habits and choose the right meals every day.  That way as we lose weight with the 90 day challenge system we are also teaching ourselves how to plan meals and eat right for the rest of our lives.  As I mentioned before, we are both pretty skeptical when it comes to these weight loss programs, but we feel this one might be the right fit for us.

The kit includes a series of meal replacement shakes, vitamins, energy drinks, and other items to help us stay on track. I’m not sure if it’s going to work. We are going to test this system and share our results with you each week. We’re going to tell you what we love and what we hate about it each step of the way. I can honestly say that if this works, I will be shocked and ecstatic at the same time. I know that I will still need to eat healthy meals and get regular exercise, but this will help me shed unwanted weight (as long as I stick to the program) fast to kickstart my lazy butt into high gear as we travel on the road to fit!
