Last weekend, Ulta had some fabulous deals that may even rival what they are doing for Black Friday. I didn't get a ton of stuff, but I still wanted to share what I got with you. Plus I am not going to be able to do many reviews at the moment, but I still want to post content. Everything was 20% off and I also got a really amazing sample bag that even had coupons in it for a salon visit, an online purchase, a Dermalogica service, a dollar amount off of a bareMinerals purchase, and another coupon for a dollar amount when buying Ultra brand products. Ulta knows how to treat their customers.
1.) Pacifica Skin Revival Micro Dermabrasion Scrub
I saw a video from CoffeeBreakWithDani and she mention this product. She compared it to Kate Somerville's ExfoliKate, which I have been using a lot. I haven't committed to the full size because it so darn expensive. I was going to get this scrub anyway, but when I saw that Pacifica was 20% off, I nearly lost it. I cannot wait to see how this works. ExfoliKate has started to irritate my skin a little bit, and I am hoping this is not as irritating. This product is also cruelty free, vegan, and proceeds go towards providing clean water. Some Pacifica products, including this scrub, are currently BOGO 50% off. You can see which products are included here. It looks like only the skincare is included.
2.) Nip + Fib Glycolic Daily Cleansing Pads
I am on an exfoliating kick right now for some reason. A lot of people seemed to love this product a lot, and it is not that expensive anyway. Hopefully it will help with some of the acne scars I have on my cheek. I appreciate that it is a pad, as I can be a little bit lazy with my skincare routine at night. The Nip + Fab products are still on sale here.
3.) Strivectin Advanced Retinol Night Treatment
My mom and I both have been wanting to incorporate more retinol into our nightly routines. This is the travel size. Thank you Strivectin for even making this travel size. It would be a shame to get the full size and hate it. I don't like returning stuff, so I try to avoid putting myself in the situation. I hate when the box tricks you into thinking the product is going to be larger than it actually is. I don't know why it irritates me. It was only $10 and the size is on the packaging. Mini rant over.
4.) It Cosmetics Airbrush All Over Shadow Brush #119
My mom loves brushes even more than I do, and this one was on sale for $9.99, I think. I always get excited when brushes come with a case. This brush was on sale for $7.99, but now it is back to full price.
5.) Sky Blue Z-Palette
I think I am one of the few beauty bloggers that have not tried Makeup Geek eyeshadows, and I got this since it was on sale for $5 less than anywhere else. I am still deciding what colors to get, but I will probably go with one of the bundles Marlena has available. I purchased the large palette, which is normally $20 and I got it for $14.99.
6.) Butter London Shadow Clutch in Pretty Proper
I swatched these eyeshadows in store a few weeks ago, and I was shocked by how pigmented the shades were. I picked this one out for my mom since these kind of neutrals are right up her alley. The six shades in this pre-made palette are Chantilly Lace, Cashmere, Suede, Satin, Velvet, and Brocade.
I have clearly been on a skincare kick lately. I have used the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads and I already like them. I have some bad acne scarring on the right side of my face; the kind that is slightly raised. I have used these twice and now they are almost 100% flat. They haven't irritated my skin at all, either. I just tried Pacifica's Microdermabrasion Scrub and unlike the Kate Somerville one, it did not sting one bit nor make my skin red. It is very gentle on the skin. Actually, it might be a little too gentle. Of course it is still too soon to tell.
Did you score any of the great deals at Ulta last weekend? I'd also love to hear what you got for Black Friday. So far, I have only placed orders for two places. I am still deciding on a couple of more things, too.
