A BLACK MARK IN KERALA TOURISMTourism in the backwaters of Kerala gets a black mark now. Kerala has become a center for sex tourism, gradually taking the form of a racket. The houseboats in the backwaters of the state, that has become a lurking spot for the paedophiles and sex mongers. Three women-Jessy, Zeenath and Shehna, who operate an entire gang, they are arrested and remanded in the previous days. This racket mainly aimed young girls who can be easily spotted loitering in front of schools and colleges.  A Study titled 'Trafficking in Women and Children in India’ by Human Rights Commission, revealed that Alappuzha reported the highest number of child sex incidents. Alapuzha is famous for its house boat tourism. While national and international tourists form a major part of the clientele, there are top executives too, who come here for some 'fun'. These rackets and tourists mainly prefer houseboats in the backwaters because there is no interference from any quarter. Arabs and many others from foreign countries are the main costumers of this business.
