Maybelline has a new Ulta exclusive palette called the Graffiti Nudes, which consists of a good mix of neutrals and pops of colors. I have been testing the palette out for the last two days and wanted to share the three looks I have come up with so far. They are very different from each other: dramatic pink and purple, everyday look with a pop of color, and a smoky teal eye. I did use a few other eyeshadows because there are no good transition shades. For this, I either used Kat Von D's Shade+Light Palette or Makeup Geek shadows.
For the first look, I used the purple shade on the lid and added a pop of shimmer on the center using two of the neutral shades. The neutral shades don't have a lot of pigment, so that didn't show up very well. I blended the pink into the crease and used the shimmery white to highlight the brow bone and inner corner. The other key products I used for this look include the e.l.f Acne Fighting Foundation, Kat Von D's Lock It Concealer Creme and Setting Powder, Makeup Revolution Blush Goddess Palette, and Pixi's Matte Lustre Lipstick in Plump Pink.
For the second look, I kept the pop of color along the lash line to keep it "everyday" appropriate. I used the cobalt blue, which reminds me of Urban Decay's Chaos at first glance. On the lid and in the crease, I used the light bronze shade. I used the light shimmery pink in the inner corner and the white on the brow bone. I also used Almay's Wake Up Foundation, Wet n Wild's Color Icon Gloss in Raised on Good Corals, and Makeup Revolution's Blush Goddess Palette.
The final look is intense and smoky. I don't really like the way this one turned out because the shadows are patchy and didn't blend like I wanted them to. I used the black shadow in the palette as my base and topped it with the dark teal. I also used Max Factor's Master Precise Max Liquid Liner, e.l.f's Acne Fighting Foundation, Kat Von D's Lock It Concealer Creme in Light 5 Neutral, her new setting powder, and for my lips I used ColourPop's Ultra Matte Lip in Midi.
I still need to try the palette out a little more, but it isn't quite as bad as I expected. But it certainly isn't anything great either.
If you have the Graffiti Nudes palette, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.
