Yes, you lucky people, courtesy of 'Uppers', a frequent visitor here at D&N and a near neighbor of 'JK', I am able to offer you an exclusive tour of Arkansas. Now I know that from time to time I have, so to speak, 'taken the piss' out of that very fine State of the Union but, of course, being a Brit you will know that gentle teasing is just our way of expressing admiration. Thanks to my 'Arkie' e-pals and their imput over the years I decided long ago that were I to revisit the USA then Arkansas is one place I would definitely want to have on my itinerary. Here are just a few reasons why:
So what's not to like about any of that? 'God's little acre', I reckon, or perhaps several zillion acres. Whatever, it looks gorgeous and I bet at this time of the year it's spectacular.
But that's not the only treat I have for you. Via a very discreet source, embedded in the 'Arkie' foothills, I have managed to lay hands on a picture of the mysterious, all-powerful, Barney Magroo, who is actualy the man who runs Arkansas from his 'Still in the Hill', as he calls it. Here he can be seen with his, er, security detail but, alas, I'm not absolutely sure which one is Barney!
If only they had smiled I could have identified Barney by his single tooth! Anyway, many thanks to 'Uppers' and I envy him his home state.
