As you know, it is my constant desire to lighten the load for all you wage slaves particularly at the start of the working week. Hence, I really must try and remember a Monday morning joke to get you off to a good start! This morning's effort has been shamelessly stolen from The Spectator but the original is in cartoon form which I cannot copy so I will describe it to you. It is based on the current story that the body of King Richard III, the murderous hunchback, has been found under a council carpark and plans are being made to have him reburied in a more suitable place. The cartoon shows a disconsolate King crying out, "A hearse, a hearse, my kingdom for a hearse!"
Yeah, yeah, I know, but it's the best I could come up with and it made me chuckle - even the 'Memsahib' cracked a smile! Anyway, it's another reason for you all to rush out and buy Britain's best weekly mag.
