Your Honeymoon Wardrobe: Style-passport

By Thehoneymoonproject @thehoneymoonpro

I had planned, in the run-up to our wedding, to be really organised with my honeymoon wardrobe – I was going to splash out on a few nice, new pieces for the occasion, and get it all done during the summer so that I didn’t have to worry about it just before the wedding. Of course, in reality, I suddenly found myself a month before the wedding without any of the new clothes that I’d planned to buy – and being the end of September, it wasn’t a great time to be looking for hot weather clothes. So I was excited to hear about the launch of style-passport, an online “destination boutique”, which means that you can stock up on your honeymoon clothes and holiday beauty products at any time of year. Which is great news for autumn and winter brides in particular (have you tried looking for flip-flops in November?) – though it’s a great site whatever time of year you’re getting married (and for all those post-honeymoon holidays, too).

When I first heard about style-passport I was concerned that it would just be full of high-end fashion, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that it caters for a range of budgets; so while you’ll find items by Diane Von Furstenberg and La Perla, you’ll also find items for under £100, including a good range of Havaianas flip flops. It’s a super-sleek site – gorgeous to look at and easy to navigate, and, best of all, full of inspiration, with handy suggestions for putting together your holiday wardrobe, whether you’re going to the beach, off to a city, or keeping local for a “staycation”.

But it’s not just clothes and flip flops – you can also pick up all those other honeymoon essentials like suntan lotion (which, without fail, I end up doing a mad dash for at the airport), dry shampoo wipes (perfect to make you feel less of a mess after a long flight), and this little beauty to help stop your skin from drying out on the plane. It is, literally, a one-stop shop, so if you’re shopping for a new dress and sandals for your ‘moon, you can also pick up some new sunnies and a classy bikini (or two) – lunchtime shopping has really never been easier.

My current favourite pieces are this gorgeous vida vida bag, Diane von Furstenberg’s fabulous 1950s-style bikini, this skirt with it’s bright holiday print, and these little hay fever treatment balms, which would be perfect for my pollen-suffering husband. So go, check style-passport out, and bookmark it for that inevitable last-minute oh-my-God-I’ve-got-nothing-to-wear-on-honeymoon moment.
