Happy Friday! I’m going to start this post with a plea for funds! Not for myself, but for two worthy causes.
The first is helping a good friend of mine, Lisa. Lisa was diagnosed with stage 3B Hodgkin’s Lymphoma when she was 16, but she’s a survivor and has been in remission for 13 years. She’s been given the opportunity to participate in a week-long First Descents camp in Santa Barbara, CA. Lisa is reaching out to get financial support to cover the travel costs, lost wages and also cover a minimum $500 donation to First Descents. You can donate to her cause on Indiegogo. If you’re in Toronto, there are some nice perks too! Let’s help Lisa live her dream!
My second worthy cause is to
help fund a new farm sanctuary here in Ontario. You may have heard the story and seen the many adorable pictures of
Esther the Wonder Pig. Her guardians were told she was a “micropig” but there really isn’t anything micro about Esther! With the closure of Snooter’s Farm Sanctuary, a new sanctuary in Ontario is much needed. Let’s help Steve and Derek make this a reality for Esther and all of the other animals that will get to live out their lives in peace on their farm.
