It’s summer, and we’re finally getting some sunshine! Hooray!

So, if you fancy making the most of the good weather, and you’re within a reasonable distance of Milton Keynes, try Woburn Safari Park.

The road safari allows you to drive around amongst the lions, and tigers and bears (and giraffes and rhinos) as they roam freely (no cages or wire fences here).

If you take the monkey trail too, these furry little creatures will actually take a little ride on your car, perching themselves on your roof, windscreen, or possibly even your wing mirror, where they sit quite merrily watching the world go by.

Once you’ve completed the safari, park up and have a picnic before taking a ride on the swan peddle boats. Blissfully relaxing, as well as a brilliant workout for those pins.

Then take a wander around the foot safari to see the more domesticated animals. Penguins, birds of prey, farmyard animals, kangaroos, more monkeys. They’re all here.

It’s perfect if you need to entertain some little ones during the school hols too.

Woburn Safari also houses Go Ape and is next to Woburn Abbey.
