From where we were on the rooftop, we could see the F-16 jet fighters, the blasting of the cannons in salutation and the time when Singapore stands up to sing the National Anthem – the Chinook (the helicopter with 2 rotors) flying with the Singapore flag. You can even get a very close up of the Navy/Police speedboats on standby for their entry to perform on the waters. Oh, there is one more thing we forgot to mention – the Red Lions. See them parachute their way down from the high sky to the parade platform.
And and and there is the fireworks display towards the end of the National Day Parade at about 8.10pm. We saw it and they were bright and beautiful. Ready your cameras!

Besides the National Day Parade 2014, there is the breathtaking view of the Marina Bay Sands. It does not seem to be in the day but wait till dusk and beyond.
