Where to Find Vintage Chanel in Paris (Part 2)

GPS (Guilty Pleasure System): ON. Destination: Paris, France. Goal: To find the most luxurious, most magnificent and most classy Vintage Chanel. From colourful jewelry to exquisitely crafted handbags, it’s a tour exclusively for fashionistas and glamour ladies alike. Are you ready for part two my lovelies? It’s time to finish up those baguettes, drink your last glass of martini, and go, go, go! (Read part one here if you’ve missed it.)

♥ La Jolie Garde-Robe

Do you have 60s fashion running through your veins? Then if you happen to find your way around 15 rue Commines, Paris 3rd in Metro: Filles du Calvaire, you’re in for a treat. La Jolie Garde-Robe is an exclusive store away from the hustle and bustle of tourist hubs – and best yet, it’s a store where you’ll find a sophisticated selection of vintage Chanel and other designer brands. Open from Tuesday to Saturday from 1 to 7.30 pm, you’ll find yourself trying on elegant shift dresses whilst choosing a vintage Chanel handbag to pair with. What I really liked about this boutique is that each piece carries its own bizarre quirk, yet they’ve all been carefully selected to mix and match to your heart’s desire.

As they don’t have an official website, making your way to Paris is the only way to get your vintage fix!  Whether it’s Chanel, YSL or Hermès, you’ll find a designer piece that fits you like a (French lace) glove.

♥ Le Monde du Voyage

Le Monde du Voyage, situated in the beautiful Saint Ouen Flea Market transports you to a world where vintage luggage and fashion accessories from two decades ago are the main leads; and rightfully so. While perusing through the store, my eyes immediately became beady-eyed as I saw a pair of ivory-coloured Chanel earrings in the form of flowers with the signature crossed Cs.

Of course the earrings were put on reserve, but a girl can dream right? I’d pair this with a vibrant sundress, a vintage leather purse and red lips. Then, I’m good to go! Wait. Let’s not forget a pair of cute vintage sandals. Ok, we’re good. But where’s the next stop?

♥ Antiquites de I’lle Saint-Louis

Located at 20, rue des Deux Ponts, 75004 Paris you’ll find Antiquites de I’lle Saint-Louis, and if you’re going by the name of the shop, you’re sure to find some great antique pieces. From Chanel fashion accessories and jewelry to Chanel bags and shoes, my GPS definitely landed me in the right place. This boutique is literally stocked with designer brands and vintage treasure. But one of my favourites would definitely have to be these leather black python Chanel pumps. The killer pair to wear during a day at work followed by a night out at the Martini bar, you’ll certainly feel like you run the world like Queen B!

♥ Ecrin de Mode

At 6 rue Jarente, in the heart of Marais is a gorgeous boutique by the name of Ecrin de Mode. This place is a glamour girl’s dream. Aside from making up to 70% savings from the original price of a vintage piece, you can certainly tell that I saved the best for last.

Take this beautifully elegant Vaporeux Chemiser Chanel for example. Crafted by pure silk, this utterly chic white blouse can be worn with simple black fitted leather pants,  red strappy stilettos and my beige vintage Chanel lambskin shoulder bag. If that doesn’t scream classy elegance, then I don’t know what else does!

And that’s the last stop my lovelies! So tell me dear fellow gorgeous, which store are you going to find directions for first? I’m certainly looking at taking my Guilty Pleasure System to a new vintage shopping destination. Where would you want me to take you? I’m thinking a place with a lot of birkins, one of kind vintage accessories and other rare finds – a place where I can create a classy lookbook. Just where, may you ask? Watch this space.

:)

Until next time, stay elegant.
