Firstly, I'd like to apologize for being away from all you lovelies this week. But, I have wonderful news! At long last, after months of searching and waiting for the right thing to come along, I am employed. But this is not just any job! I got a job as a graphic designer in the fashion industry! I'm working for a company who has produces multiple clothing lines and I'm in charge of the design for their major brands at the Toronto office. Honestly, I could not be happier right now. I knew I needed a job but giving up my interests in things like fashion and blogging was something I was reticent to give up but in this new job not only and I doing design for and inspiration by fashion - I'm also in charge of the social media and marketing of this brand. So, I get to redesign their blog, write articles, go to fashion shows and blog about them.....it all seems like a dream. Let's hope my giddiness for the job lasts for the foreseeable future cause right now, work just seems like a good time and every days at 5:30pm I leave with a huge smile on my face, skipping down the street!

First day jitters were expected by choosing an outfit was really hard. I really wanted to look professional and fashion forward but didn't wanna lose my cheerful and carefree vintage sensibilities I always keep in my everyday wear. My best weapon for moving casual/everyday over to work attire has been the work blazer. It's the perfect thing to sling over a dress, skirt or pants to give the whole look a more professional feel without losing the rest of your styling.

I think my favorite fall trend right now is knee high socks. They are beyond adorable and these ones sent to me from ASOS are fantastic! They're bright teal and metallic shimmer are a statement maker all on their own but combined with a super duper pair of pumps I feel like I can take on the world. Perfect little addition for a working girl taking on the fashion industry on a day to day basis. I had a lot of fun styling the outfit with different colors as well. I'm confident that I'm not gonna lose brights and color blocking come the fall so finding little ways to bring neons and luminous fuchsia's into everyday work wardrobe has been an exciting challenge.

I hope this weekend was enjoyed by all. The weather in Toronto has fantastic and I got up to all kinda of different mischief and madness. It was one of the best weekends this summer and I can't wait to share with you stories and fashions from this wonderful weekend. Lemme know what everyone else got up to during the weekend's heat wave - welcomed into the city with open arms.
