I’m back from my work conference in Brighton. After a sleep last night in my own bed – yay! – I’m looking forward to a long lazy weekend off, catching up with friends and spending some time with the boy. The good news for anyone who enjoys reading my blog is that Brighton has given me so much to talk about and share with you all. So first up, today’s OOTD is my take on how to endure train travel in comfort and style.
You’ve seen this blazer crop up before (here and here). And you’ve also heard me go on about how much I love it. Well, anyway it got another outing on sunday, accompanied by a black loose-fitting race-back vest and my fave skinny jeans. This outfit is almost identical to the one worn for my boyfriend’s big family BBQ, except the top is black instead of green and I swapped the heels for flats.

Coincidently, I also recycled this outfit on Monday eve for dinner with the bosses and an associate, switching my white comfy pumps for cute black velveteen ones I purchased from Primark. It really is the ultimate in smart-casual ‘I want to make a good impression’ attir, and so very comfy. Perfect!
The train journey also gave me a chance to finish reading Fifty Shades of Grey. A good easy read, worth a look. Overall it is more than just kinky sex – but don’t be expecting Shakespeare worthy writing, as this is far from a literary masterpiece. I’m very interested to see how they will adapt it into the much-hyped film as I don’t think the story lends itself well to cinema. The shallow part of me also wants to see who will play the adonys that is Christain Grey. Can’t wait, so I’ve lined up the rest of the trilogy for my lazy few days.
