The final day of the Brighton conference finally bought some sunshine and warmth – hoorah! I thought seeing as we’d all had a heavy night at the Congress dinner the night before I would relax a little with the outfit, going for something slightly more casual. I chose this beautiful dove-print tea dress I found in Dorothy Perkins. I checked online this morning and it is now reduced to just £10 – I paid nearly 3 x times as much! Don’t you just hate it when that happens!
Tea-dresses always make me feel really girly and feminine and I find myself sashaying my hips when I walk haha. This is one of those that ties at the back in a pretty bow – handy to ensure it is a good fit. Once again, the little pumps from Primark were my shoe of choice – I lived in these in Brighton.
I also want to point out the cardigan I am wearing. Whilst I was in Brighton, the weather was so appallingly awful, and me being me I hadn’t really packed for this eventuality. I finally got sick of being cold all the time, and one coffee break dashed to Oasis and purchased this. It was a little more expensive (£45) than I would normally spend on a cardi, but at the time I didn’t care – I just wanted to be warm! I have lived in it since, so am definitely getting my money’s worth. It’s neutral color means I can literally wear it with anything. It’s also delightfully comfy and surprisingly warm. All in all, one of my smarter impulse buys. You can still purchase it here if you like.
The last day ended before lucnhtime, so after coffee and a few final remarks, it was striahgt back to the hotel to pick up my bags then on a train home. Overall, conferences are throughly exhausting affairs.
