Hey There,

For a while now I have been lusting over, everyone else’s beauty boxes. I’m not sure why it has taken me so long, but I have finally signed up, and got involved with these delivered goodies, so today marks my first ever Birchbox post.

As you can imagine, I was overly excited to receive my first Birchbox in the post, (Like a kid at Christmas). I was even more pleased to discover what was inside.

The great thing about beauty boxes like Birchbox, is that you get to try new products and brands, it introduces you to things you may of never purchased yourself, or weren’t even aware existed.

Being a massive Benefit fan, (And once upon a time… A Benebabe), I was delighted to find a Benefit product in my parcel… The Porefessional. This product my mom swears by, (And we all know she knows best), up until now I have never owned a Porefessional, (Just stole the mothers), and it arrived in perfect time to compliment my newly purchased, Porefessional Anti-shine Powder.

Benefits, Porefessional, is a face primer, which helps to reduce the appearance of pores, (It also helps with lines) and leaves your skin feeling ridiculously soft and smooth, (I do love a multitasking product). You use Porefessional over the top of moisturiser, and underneath make up. Unfortunately, I do not have any ‘before and after’ pictures, as the photos just didn’t do the product justice. But I can not rave about this primer enough, it not only makes your skin feel incredibly soft, but it actually does minimise pores, and foundation sits on your skin flawlessly.

My next lovely surprise, was Laura Mercier’s Ambre Vanille, Soufflé Body Creme, from the body and bath range. Laura Mercier, has been a brand I have wanted to get my hands on for a while, and I was not dissapointed. I can not describe how amazing, this body cream smells, so sweet and luxurious. The cream is rich, and very thick, just perfect for hydrating my skin. The only problem I had, was rubbing the product in…I’m not sure if it was my skin resisting it or the result of the thick consistency, as I had to put a lot of effort in, (Well, more than I would of liked to), to get the cream worked in to my skin… If I hadn’t, I would of walked around with white cream marks all over my body. But it did what I wanted it to do, it hydrated my skin, left it feeling lovely, and smelt gorgeous, (So I can’t complain too much).

Also in the Birchbox contents, was Anatomy Nutrients, Re-energising Body Oil, with Sunflower and Rosewood. The description says, that it awakens skin cells, and is great for tight muscles and cellulite. To be honest, the bottle is to small, for me to use enough to see any difference in cellulite, and I didn’t really feel re-energised after using it on tight muscles. Overall it is not a bad product, as I do like to use an oil on my skin, I find it compliments any moisturiser you use, especially in this cold weather. I just don’t have a lot to say about this particular oil.

For my face, the box contained, Delarom Paris, Aquaconfort Masque, another new brand I got to try. This mask contained pomegranate extract, a great antioxidant, and gave my skin a deep hydration boost. I noticed more of a difference, when I incorporated it into a a little express mini facial of my own, rather than just using it at random.

It appears the lovely people at Birchbox, covered all areas for me, by including a multi award winning hair product, by Philip Kingsley, the Elasticizer, in my box. With my hair feeling a little dry from the awful weather, this was a great pick me up, that my hair needed. The Elasticizer, is a pre-shampoo treatment, designed to increase the elasticity in your hair, (State the obvious), moisture and bounce. I have been using this treatment, regularly and have noticed a difference at the tips of my hair. Like most hair product, it tells you to follow the treatment, with other Philip Kingsley products, I would like to see if using a shampoo and conditioner as well, made much more of a difference.

To finish, the final goodie in my Birchbox parcel, was a de-puffing eye mask. You know those ones you stick in the fridge, ready to work miracles on your tired eyes in the morning. I have yet to use this, however I can imagine it coming in handy, on those mornings when I have drunk too much the night before, or stayed up to the early hours of the morning blogging, (I seem to be becoming more of a night person at the moment). ‘Rock your nights, and enjoy your days’.

This was my FIRST ever Birchbox, I am so happy with the contents, as I got to try all new brands, (Apart from Benefit)… I can’t wait for my February delivery.
