As promised here are my mums thoughts on some anti-ageing skincare from Origins and the Manuka Doctor. I am forever referring to my mom in skincare posts, and I am always telling you all, that my mums knows best when it comes to skincare. Her skin looks amazing. So I thought it was about time, that I featured her on the blog, (Properly).
Thing with mom is, she only cares whether a product she uses works or not, she isn’t so much into the smell, consistency or the formula, (As much as I am).
She has been trying out some of Origins Plantscription range, as well some Manuka Doctor samples I got when I went to the #Sotonmeetup. You all know I love a anti-ageing product, but I thought it would be interesting to see how it works on her skin.
Mums skin is mature, but is quite oily at the same time, (I don’t mean the spotty kind of oily skin). She wants something that will help keep her skin looking younger, plumped and hydrated.
Origins:
Plantscription Serum
Origin: Reduce lines and wrinkles, gives skin more youthful bounce.
Mum: Not as good as Clarins Double Serum, it worked better with the night cream than the day cream, but it was absorbed very quickly leaving the skin feeling more dry than plumped.
Plantscription Anti-ageing Cleanser
Origins: Removes impurities and dirt, while conditioning the skin.
Mum: This was nice enough, (Couldn’t get much more out of her).
Plantscription Powerful Lifting Cream
Origins: For more youthful looking contours and firmness.
Mum: This absorbed in to the skin quickly, not very hydrating. Prefer Loccitane Creme De Provence.
Plantscription Youth Renewing Night Cream
Origins: Overnight skin appears smoother, younger and more radiant.
Mum: Night cream and serum worked well together, this one was a lot richer and thicker, nice result. Would buy this one.
Mum is a fan of origins, like me she likes quite a rich product. She says its not that these were bad products, it is just that she has used better, like the Clarins and Loccitane. She also thought that this may be better for fighting earlier signs of ageing, and maybe that is why it wasn’t as rich as the stuff she is used to.
Manuka Doctor
Age Defying Serum.
Manuka Doctor: Contains Bee Venom with super powers to help reduce lines and wrinkles.
Mum: Really impressed with the Manuka products, really good serum, immediate improvement in skin tone.
Wrinkle Filler
Manuka Doctor: Proven to reduce wrinkles in 30 minutes, and increase skins firmness and elasticity in 30 days.
Mum: Again really happy with this product. Improvement in my skins appearance
