Food food food! Every image from this past weekend that I took was food related. I’m perfectly ok with that.
On Friday, a few friends and I checked out Lipstick & Dynamite at Queen and Ossington for Lisa’s birthday. It’s all vegetarian and I believe everything can be made vegan. Most of our party got either the Vegan Po’Boy or the curry. It was too dark to get a good pic of my sandwich, but it was delicious. I’d like to go back to try their brunch.
Another test recipe for Rubber Cowgirl. This time they were Banana Flapjacks. I actually made them twice o the weekend because they are yummy and easy to make.
Saturday night meant munching on homemade nachos and watching Netflix. Yeah, we’re homebodies, but we like it that way.
Last zucchini from the garden for this year. A squirrel tried to take it when it was still just a little thing, but we just cut that part off.
My Thanksgiving meal that I worked so hard on. Field Roast with our homemade gooseberry chutney, stuffing and mushroom gravy from The Vegan Table by Colleen Patrick-Goudreau (holiday staples), mashed garlic sweet potato and glazed acorn squash.
At but certainly not least, pumpkin pie with pecan crust (topped with Soy Whip), from CPG’s The Joy of Vegan Baking. I think next time I’ll stick with a traditional pastry crust, but oh gosh that filling! So good.
