Hi. Thanks. I found the Low-Carb challenge really hard to follow strictly. I do not like dairy products such as cream and butter, so found the recipes too rich for my taste. And I hate cheese! I cut out carbs altogether and feel better for it but lost just a couple of pounds. Thanks for the encouragement, though.
Dianne
I have been trying to lose about 15 pounds (7 kg) for the last eight months, okay honestly, off and on for eight years. My weight has been up and down, I just get so hungry when dieting and I always end up gaining it all back. A friend of mine tried the low-carb diet and had a lot of success, I was dubious, but I thought, whatever I'm doing isn't working so why not.I lost 5 pounds (2 kg) in two weeks, my clothes are fitting better and for the first time I'm confident that I will reach my goal and sustain it.
I discovered your site doing some research on low carb and how to get started. Your site made it so easy, I love all the visuals of the various food groups, the recipes, and the videos. There was a lot of information, but not overwhelming, just simple and easy to follow. I lost 5 pounds (2 kg) in two weeks, my clothes are fitting better and for the first time, I'm confident that I will reach my goal and sustain it.Thank you for the valuable guidance. I am still changing my habits when it comes to fat. The changes have really opened my mind and I feel so satisfied after I eat, the last two weeks have truly been life changing for me.
Thank you!
Danielle
My husband and I really enjoyed all the recipes! He lost 11 lbs (5 kg) and I lost 5 lbs (2 kg). We look forward to continuing our adventure with low carb eating.Terri
Fantastic results in just two weeks. More inches than weight loss however I lost 6 pounds (3 kg). Five inches (13 cm) in just my waist. I haven't been 100% on program but close to it. Almost no belly fat!!! Glad my sister told me about your program. She has done terrific. I will sign up. Thank you.Sandy
The cooking two meals at one time simplified my life and as a potato chip junkie, I was surprised to find I didn't even miss them.
It was easier than I thought it would be. The cooking two meals at one time simplified my life and as a potato chip junkie, I was surprised to find I didn't even miss them.I lost 8 lbs (4 kg) and 3 inches (8 cm). It probably would have been more, but I travel every weekend, and there is almost zero chance of eating low carb on the road.
Thank you, Diet Doctor!

I was able to lose about 9 pounds (4 kg) almost immediately, but have been stuck at a constant weight now for a 4-5 days and suspect that most of the weight loss was water weight. I had issues with cramps and headaches but found that the beef bouillon did the trick. I continued to exercise 3-4 times a week (with a lift and at least 20 minutes of crossfit/HIT type exercises). I had moments of low energy during some of the workouts, but not too serious.I was able to keep my carbs below 50 g for the entire 2 weeks, but my protein and fat grams fluctuated quite a bit. Currently at 210 pounds (95 kg) on a 5'9" (175 cm) frame, I would like to know what my targets should be - should it be 50 g for carbs, 100 g for fat, and 200 for protein? My goal would be to get to 175 pounds (79 kg) or lower if at all possible. I've been trying for a decade or so and am greatly encouraged by my progress so far.
Thanks for your help. I joined as a member to your website and look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks again,
Randy
Hi Andreas,I started a week late and so I really have just a week to go. It is difficult to give fries, beer and other carbs but I reckon if I become familiar with all the permitted ingredients I am creative enough to make the food interesting.
I lost 5 lbs (2 kg) in 5 days and have put on one in day six. On the start of day eight lost that pound, result I lost 5 lbs (2 kg) in eight days. I find the amount of butter a bit much. Should I reduce it?
Many thanks,
John
'Dieting' is hard, period. Having said that I have been easily following the recipes in this program for 4 weeks.
'Dieting' is hard, period. Having said that I have been easily following the recipes in this program for 4 weeks. I am having fun cooking meals ahead of time and using vacuum seal bags and freezing the meals. From the freezer to the sous vide to my plate. 26 pounds (12 kg) lost in the 4 weeks. I feel really good, more get up and go. The big challenge for me is getting the protein/fat ratio correct because it all tastes so good! Thanks!

I loved the challenge!! And the meal plans and shopping lists made it so easy and convenient! AND!! I lost almost 10 pounds (5 kg) and 2 inches (5 cm) off my waist in the first 2 weeks! My clothes are starting to actually fit again and I'm getting my shape back. And I'm not quitting here! Love the challenge and the site!Jennifer
We feel better, have more energy, are never hungry, can walk past all the old cravings like potato chips and even my wife admits she no longer craves sugar which is a shocker especially to her!
I was very skeptical of this challenge, especially reading the recipes. I do all the cooking in our house and the hardest thing for me was using ingredients that for years we have been told was bad. I couldn't even get my wife to BUY whipping cream. I had to go down the dairy aisle and get a large enough container. Then when I actually poured it into the pan, my head was telling me this is so wrong. But, after the first bite of hamburger patties with creamy tomato gravy, I said, "I love this diet!", silently hoping it works. Two weeks in, I have lost 7 pounds (3 kg), my wife 5.5 pounds (2 kg) and 4 inches (10 cm) off her waist. We feel better, have more energy, are never hungry, can walk past all the old cravings like potato chips and even my wife admits she no longer craves sugar which is a shocker especially to her!.We would have lost more in the two weeks, but were enjoying cream so much that our weight loss stalled and mine crept up (I weighed every day). When that started I went back to the website to find out why, and realized that dairy, even higher fat dairy, may stall your weight loss. So we cut cream out of coffee again, dropped it from the few berries we were eating, and the weight loss started again.
We are going to continue on with the diet, probably for life. There is very little food that we miss, and the recipes are fantastic.
Thank you Diet Doctor,
Chris
I loved the challenge! I've lost 12 lbs (5 kg) in two weeks! My 24-year old son and his wife have signed up as well. Thank you for offering this free challenge, the recipes are great and the shopping list so helpful. I share the link with so many people not knowing where to start on keto.Thank you and God bless,
Tammy
Andreas,
I just completed the 2-week challenge. For the first week, everything went fine. The second week, I slipped a little and ate sweet potatoes, and some corn. I also ate apples and bananas the second week. I believe that my craving for sugar is what prompted this.Overall in the 2 weeks, I lost 7 pounds (3 kg). I am hypoglycemic, so I was worried about the effects of this low-carb adventure. Remarkably, my blood sugar never really spiked up or down. Even after consuming fruit, things never got out of hand. I am curious if a serving or two of fruit can be part of a low-carb/high-fat diet. I love veggies and typically eat quite a bit of them, but I also love fruit for a snack during the day. I feel better and my clothes fit better. I am going to continue one day at a time. Hopefully, the sugar cravings will eventually subside. The only real side effect I have had is a dry mouth. Not sure if it is directly related or not. Have a great day and thank you for helping to promote healthy lifestyles.
Regards,
Kelly
BIG BIG SMILES, I've been using this diet for six days, have been full, not craving sweets which is a great obstacle to leap over in itself. Since day two haven't had any acid reflux, which has been a large part of my life for over a decade, prescriptions haven't helped at all.Yesterday I had more energy than I can remember having in years, just felt great, even younger...
Well this morning I had to break down and weigh, after all yesterday I had more energy than I can remember having in years, just felt great, even younger... So, in 6 days have lost 5 pounds (2 kg) and 1 1/2″ (4 cm) off the waist.I plan on making this a healthy lifestyle change, I would like to lose another 50-75 pounds (23-34 kg).
I really wish I had taken a full length picture, but have been extremely self conscious about my weight.
Thank you, I'm off to do my happy dance!
Janice
