These days we are in Milan, to attend to MIDO 2014, the world’s leading international trade fair for optics, optometry and ophthalmology.
The whole team has traveled to the italian fashion capital for this important event; as we believe it is essential to be informed of the latest developments in the sector. We are knowing the latest developments in lens manufacturing, developments in contact lenses, and the latest trends in fashion.
In the last year edition, 43.000 people from 40 different countries visited the fair, which is divided into several sections:
- Fashion: the most important brands present their proposals for future seasons. Shapes, colors, textures and ideas that will become a trend. It is also an opportunity to discover new designers talent.
- Technology: innovations in materials, lenses, components and finishes. Presentations to the results of research and development of the leading companies in the sector.
- Training: fairs like this are important to know the latest developments in eye health.
This year also, the organization wanted to go further and there will be an exhibition on the street, focusing on the glasses and the design in general.
