Urban Decay just recently released the Backtalk eye and cheek palette and I was fortunate enough to get it in the mail a little early. I've been playing around with it and trying different looks. It is quite a cute palette, more than I initially thought. From what I saw of the promotional images I thought it would have a more berry tone, but really it's a beautiful peachy-rose palette that's perfect for spring. Urban Decay really did something special with this release. Not only are the colors beautifully chosen, but the packaging is freaking awesome. They improved on the design I originally saw in their Naked Skin Shapeshifter palette, which was plastic and my own palette actually lost a hinge, making it out of cardboard made it more sturdy and durable. Another knock out feature is the de-freaking-tachable mirror, I don't know why I'm so excited about this detachable mirror, but I am and it's the new standard of my expectations.

The cheek portion of the Backtalk palette is actually my favorite half of the palette. I love pretty much every base/cheek product available from Urban Decay so it wasn’t a surprise to me that I was a fan of these as well. Cheap Shot is a satin rosey-mauve blush, while double take is a true peach matte blush. Party Foul is a classic pale champagne highlighter, and Low Key (my favorite) is a peachy-rose gold highlighter that I like to use as a blush topper over double take.
The eyeshadows are lovely my favorites are actually browns, I don’t know that I’ll actually ever tire of discovering a good brown eyeshadow. They are a big part of the makeup I actually wear out of doors, I’m a big fan of just shadow all over the lid.
